
World leaders congratulated Queen Elizabeth on her record-breaking 70 years on the throne as nationwide celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee kicked off in Britain to commemorate her reign.

French President Emmanuel Macron
"Your Majesty, it is my privilege to extend to You, on behalf of the French people, my heartfelt congratulations on Your Platinum Jubilee."
Along with the message the French president gifted the queen one of his prize thoroughbreds to mark her 70 years on the throne, Macron's office and the British Embassy in Paris said on Thursday.
The 7-year-old horse, called Fabuleu de Maucour, escorted Macron down the Champs Elysees in Paris last month as part of an official ceremony, Macron's office said.
