
Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Moosa Highlights: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Friday assured justice to singer Sidhu Moosewala’s family, adding “We will not forgive the guilty at any cost.” Visiting the family at the Moosa village in Punjab’s Mansa district, Mann said, “I assure you that the culprits would be caught soon.”
Ahead of his visit, villagers protested against the tight security arrangements put in place by the Punjab Police. Local AAP MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali also faced the anger of the people. He had to return back from the village after apologising to the villagers for the problems they faced due to the security arrangements. He was supposed to accompany the Punjab CM during his visit.
The Punjab Police turned the village into a fortress, restricting all the movements inside the village. This sparked protests by the villagers who raised slogans against the Punjab government and Chief Minister.
Punjab Youth Congress has alleged that a special DSP was present during Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's visit to Sidhu Moosewala's family. The organisation has alleged that the officer was constantly present around Moosewala's father.

AAP blamed Congress for the protests in the Moosa village ahead of Bhagwant Mann's visit. “Congress is playing dirty politics. Congress’s ex-MLA is creating a scene at the village. Punjab is watching. They have been playing politics over the death of a shining star,” a party statement said.
“The Punjab CM is performing his responsibility by visiting Moosewala’s family to pay condolences,” it added.
IG Bathinda range Pardeep Yadav confirmed that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann will visit Moosa village to offer his condolences to the family. Protests by villagers over the security arrangements ahead of the CM's visit had raised questions over the CM's arrival.
Hours before Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s scheduled visit to singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala’s family at Moosa village in Mansa, angry villagers on Friday came out on the streets, protesting the high security arrangements that were put in place and forced Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali to apologise and return from the village.
