COMPANY NEWS: Australian first managed services program provides a comprehensive, cloud migration environment for organisations seeking to ensure they optimise their carbon footprint and protect their data against cybercrime

TechConnect today launched its Warrior Program, a comprehensive suite of managed services. The TechConnect Warrior program will help customers maximise the benefits of their cloud migration with an industry-first suite of integrated, dashboard-based cost, security, support, and carbon emission reduction tools.

Based on the Gold Coast, TechConnect provides end-to-end data management and cloud migration solutions to help organisations gain valuable insights from information, to drive competitive advantage. In its 11th year of operation, the company has operations around the world, and employs almost 70 staff, with plans to more than double its revenue in the next two years.

Since its inception, TechConnect has provided its customers with a wide array of managed services and data insight solutions, but the company took the decision this year to expand and combine its managed services under one comprehensive, dashboard-based suite by creating the Warrior Program. The Warrior Program provides customers with a set of best practices on cloud migration, to de-risk costs and security, increase application performance, reliability, and enable operational excellence. The program is closely integrated with TechConnect’s professional services team, and into its business analytics, business intelligence and other solutions such as TechConnect Harlequin and Excellytics.

Mike Cunningham, TechConnect CEO, said; “TechConnect understands customers are facing increasing commercial, regulatory and environmental challenges. In these circumstances, organisations will be looking for efficiencies where they can find them, whilst reducing their exposure to cyber-crime, by migrating many applications to the Cloud to drive efficiency and agility. TechConnect Warrior enables all these aspects to be managed efficiently and seamlessly, driving down costs and improving the visibility of their cloud-based data environments.”

Several years in development, the TechConnect Warrior program is based on six pillars:

The Warrior Program also provides customers with the ability to assess and improve the status of their disaster recovery strategy, or completely outsource it to TechConnect, if they deem that appropriate.

“Traditional managed services programs typically add value to clients in analysing costs reactively,” Mr Cunningham said.

“The TechConnect Warrior program is proactive, providing organisations with a dashboard based and expert-led analysis of cost and cloud optimisation scenarios ahead of time – including advice around how to minimise the carbon emissions impact of data manipulation – one of the first of its type in Australia in the managed services market.”

“For example, using Sustainability Warrior, TechConnect customers will be able to evaluate how to not only maximise the operational benefits of running cloud-based instances but understand how to run the services on the least amount of resources. Additionally, it will help customers take full advantage of running instances in cloud regions which are carbon-neutral, should they choose.”
