Manuskh Mandaviya on Tuesday said sophisticated Ro-Ro ferry services will start on Bhavnagar-Hazira and Bhavangar-Mumbai routes.
This service will have double the speed then the existing Ghogha-Hazira Ro-Ro ferry and more capacity, he said.
Mandaviya was in
Bhavnagar to inaugurate the 55th professional training centre of the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), which will help in preparing skilled manpower for the industry.
“Mafatlal Group is setting up a CNG terminal in Bhavnagar and a recycling yard is also coming up at Alang. For that, a sophisticated
Ro Ro ferry service between Bhavnagar-Hazira and Bhavangar-Mumbai will commence soon that will have double speed then the existing ferry service. The Ropax ferry has already arrived at Hazira port,” he said.
He also proposed a memorable celebration of 300 years of Bhavnagar while stating that a six-lane road is under construction between Bhavnagar and
Dholera while renovation work on Bhavangar-Mahuva coastal road is underway. This highway is riddled with potholes, said sources.
A container making facility is also planned in Bhavnagar,
Mandaviya said.
