Bhubaneswar: Sonepur town in western Odisha on Wednesday sizzled at 44.4 degrees Celsius, the hottest in Odisha for the second successive day. On Tuesday, mercury in this town stood at 44.5 degrees Celcius.
Four more towns in western and interior areas witnessed maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celcius and above. The state capital recorded a maximum temperature of 35.9 degrees Celsius. tnn
