Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:09AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.41%), Oriental Trimex(up 2.31%), 20 Microns(up 2.19%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.46%), Aro Granite Industries(up 1.44%), Coal India(up 1.02%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.92%), KIOCL(up 0.91%), Pokarna(up 0.54%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers.

Dvpt Corporation(down 1.05%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.36%) and MOIL(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 3.75 points up at 16526.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 70.86 points at 55452.03 at around 10:09AM.

Reliance Industries(up 2.28%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.16%), Coal India(up 1.05%), Axis Bank(up 0.9%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.76%), UPL Ltd(up 0.74%), NTPC(up 0.7%), State Bank of India(up 0.66%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.65%) and Cipla(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Enterprises(down 3.89%), Hero MotoCorp(down 3.68%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 2.4%), SBI Life(down 2.03%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.5%), JSW Steel(down 1.29%), Shree Cement(down 1.29%), HDFC(down 1.28%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.14%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.13%) were trading in the red.
