Cong leaders meet guv for central probe

Chandigarh: A delegation of the Punjab Congress called upon governor Banwarilal Purohit and apprised him of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and sought a probe by Central investigating agencies into the assassination of Sidhu Moosewala. The party leaders stated that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Bhagwant Mann had proved to be disastrous for the state and people have lost faith in it.
The delegation, led by PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, comprised the CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa, working president Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Deputy CLP leader Dr Rajkumar Chabbewal, former deputy chief minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and former minister Balbir Singh Sidhu.
“No doubt the AAP got a public mandate, but they have proved to be a complete failure, the delegation said, adding, the recent broad daylight assassination of an internationally acclaimed Punjabi singer, is a warning call for all of us,” stated the members of the delegation.
