Man shoots wife, her parents dead

Jalandhar: A man shot and killed his wife and her parents in his house in Shiv Nagar area in Jalandhar around Monday midnight, police said.
He was later arrested by the police from the spot as he did not try to escape.
It is learnt that accused Sunil was working as a private security guard and had strained relations with his wife.
Sources said that relations of the couple were strained and that they often had arguments. On Monday too, he and his wife had an argument. His in-laws had also come to their place, after being called there after the spat.
“He had had heated exchange with the three and in a fit of rage opened fire at his wife and her parents, killing all three,” said deputy commissioner of police Jagmohan Singh, who rushed to the place after the tragedy.
It is learnt that the couple also had a child and he was spared by the accused.
