Cebu Pacific to Resume Flights Between Mactan and Seoul, South Korea

(31 May 2022, 11:12 +07)  Cebu Pacific has unveiled plans to resume direct flights between the popular holiday destination of Mactan in Cebu, Philippines and Seoul (Incheon), South Korea.

Starting 3 July, the airline will operate twice weekly flights between the two cities, every Thursday and Sunday.

“We look forward to welcoming South Koreans and their families to plan their travels to warm Cebu and rediscover what it has to offer - from diving spots to sandbars, to canyoneering activities, to feasting on lechon and mangoes,” said CEB Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao. “This route resumption also enables fellow Filipinos working or residing in Seoul to conveniently fly direct to Cebu.”

Cebu Pacific also flies from Manila to Seoul every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, increasing the service to daily from 1 June.

South Korean nationals are allowed to enter Philippines without a visa for a period of 30 days.

Travelers flying to Philippines who have received the two-dose series or single-dose vaccine (Janssen), and at least 1 booster shot, are no longer required to present COVID19 test results for entry, according to the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

However, those without booster shots will still need to show their negative test results prior to boarding (RT-PCR test taken 48 hours before departure or antigen test taken 24 hours before departure).

Cebu Pacific is currently operating flights to 22 domestic destinations from Cebu, namely: Bacolod, Boracay, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calbayog, Camiguin, Clark, Coron, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban and Zamboanga.
