EAM meets SHE team cops

Vadodara: External affairs minister S Jaishankar paid a surprise visit to the SHE team office at the Police Bhavan on Tuesday and appreciated the work of women cops. Jaishankar tweeted, ‘Visited Vadodara city Police Bhawan and met the highly motivated #SheTeam. A great example of gender sensitive and socially caring policing’ and posted his photo with the female cops with motorbikes. City’s police commissioner Shamsher Singh said, “He appreciated the pro-active policing done by the female cops and also made a note of it in the diary there.”
He was scheduled to stay for five minutes at the Police Bhavan but spent over 20 minutes. “When we went to meet him, I gifted him a book on the work done by the SHE team. We got a call on Monday night that he wants to visit the SHE Team office. Our team was very happy with his visit,” Singh told TOI. tnn
