NEW DELHI: Taking a strong view of its
senior leader from West Bengal Dilip
Ghosh’s “critical” remarks against the party’s state unit,
BJP brass on Tuesday reprimanded him in a letter which said his public comments had “embarrassed” the central leadership and could hurt the party’s interests.
In its letter to Ghosh, the party said, “While your commitment has been absolute, there have been some avoidable instances when some of your statements or outbursts have anguished the state party leaders and also caused embarrassment to the central leadership…This was pointed out to you on several occasions... Given your standing and stature, you are expected to inspire, lead, direct and hold
together your own party colleagues at all levels.”
