After the reduction in the rate of petrol-diesel in the last days, now the rate of LPG cylinder has come down. According to the price released by Indian Oil on June 1, a 19 kg commercial cylinder became cheaper by Rs 135.

After the price reduction on June 1, now the commercial cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 2219 instead of Rs 2354. Similarly, in Kolkata, instead of Rs 2454 it is Rs 2322, in Mumbai Rs 2171.50 instead of Rs 2306 and in Chennai Rs 2373 instead of Rs 2507. The effect of this relief given by the companies can be seen on inflation in the coming times. Earlier on May 1, the price had increased by about Rs 100.

However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG by the companies. Earlier, to give relief to the public from inflation, the government had announced a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme. This subsidy will be available only up to 12 cylinders annually. More than 9 crore consumers have benefited from this move of the government.

In May, the rates of domestic LPG cylinders were increased twice. The rate of domestic cylinder was increased by Rs 50 on 7 May. On May 19, there was a change in the price of domestic LPG.
