Sidhu Moose Wala: Rakesh Tikait remembers singer's support to farmers' agitation

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikat visited the parents of singer Sidhu Moose Wala at his village in Mansa on Wednesday.
MANSA: Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on Wednesday visited village Moosa to condole the demise of noted Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu also known as Sidhu Moose Wala.
He remembered the role played by the singer in over a year-long struggle against contentious farm laws. Moose Wala had been participating in farmers' protest at the borders of Delhi and at Mansa.
Moose Wala always used to take pride in presenting himself as a farmer.
Talking to TOI Tikait said that "Moose Wala had supported the farmer struggle. He was present at Delhi borders and in Punjab and his support provided strength to the struggle. We are with the family in this hour of grief and will keep on standing by them. It was wrong on the part of the police to curtail his security. If curtailing security turns counterproductive, it should be avoided and the government must check the threat perception."
He said killing him in such a manner is a cowardly act and the police must thoroughly investigate the case.
