Gujarat: Girl dies after truck hits her scooter

VADODARA: A student died and two others suffered injuries in a road accident on Waghodia Road on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred when Isha Rana was on her way to appear for exams at a private college with two other students on a two-wheeler.
According to the police, Rana, a native of Valsad, was doing a diploma in aeronautics and stayed as a paying guest in the city. She left for the college on Tuesday with her two friends Wajid Sheikh and Khushi Vihol to take the exams on a two-wheeler. A dumper truck rammed into their two-wheeler in Waghodia throwing them off the balance.
While Rana suffered severe injuries to her head and died on the spot. The other two escaped with minor injuries. The cops have booked the driver for rash and negligent driving. Many locals gathered at the spot and complained that such accidents are a frequent phenomenon.
