Two criminals escape police custody in city

Gurgaon: Two criminals escaped from police custody when they were on their way back from a medical check-up at Delhi’s LNJP hospital on Monday.
The criminals have been identified as Abhijit and Rakesh, who were arrested on the charge of rape and dacoity. The role of the cops escorting them has come under the scanner. “Yes, two criminals have escaped. We suspect the complicity of the cops escorting them. We are looking into the circumstances that led to their escape from custody,” said Kala Ramachandran, the commissioner of police.
