Noida: Dozens of members of the
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) protested outside Noida’s Amitabh Park on Monday, demanding Z-plus security detail for farmer leader and the outfit’s spokesperson Rakesh
Tikait.
The demonstration was held hours after Tikait was allegedly attacked by two men during a press conference in Bengaluru.
Three people were detained by the police subsequently. His supporters said they handed over a memorandum to the Noida police
“We want strict action against the culprit who attacked our leader with ink in
Karnataka while we also urge the central government to provide Z+ to him so that no such attacks take place in the future,” it said. TNN
