P & G Hygiene(up 3.33%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 3.11%), Nakoda Group(up 3.01%), Britannia Industries(up 2.00%), Dabur India(up 1.74%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.28%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 1.14%), DFM Foods(up 1.08%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.69%) and Euro India Fresh Foods(up 0.66%) stood among the top gainers.
Dangee Dums(down 3.87%), Jyothy Labs(down 3.87%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 3.71%), Hind.Foods(down 3.17%), ADF Foods(down 2.97%), Varun Beverages(down 2.87%), Future Consumer(down 2.38%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.60%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.44%) and Dodla Dairy(down 0.73%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 76.85 points down at 16584.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 359.33 points at 55566.41.
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 5.0%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.61%), NTPC(up 3.38%), Coal India(up 3.04%), JSW Steel(up 2.3%), Enterprises(up 2.24%), SBI Life(up 2.24%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.04%), Britannia Industries(up 2.0%) and Tech Mahindra(up 1.4%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 3.12%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.96%), HDFC(down 2.56%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.77%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.63%), Shree Cement(down 1.53%), Infosys(down 1.52%), State Bank of India(down 1.37%), Axis Bank(down 1.22%) and Reliance Industries(down 1.21%) closed in the red.
