Biker gang loots migrant worker in Surat

SURAT: A 22-year-old migrant worker was forcefully stopped by five people who came on two bikes and told him to hand over his possessions. When he protested, the gang stabbed him thrice on his thigh before robbing his mobile phone.
According to the police, victim Sunil Mandal (22) a native of Bihar lives with his friends in a rented house in Bharthan area of the city and works with a restaurant located in Vesu area.
On Thursday, after finishing work Mandal and his friend Liltan Kamar start walking towards home at around 11pm. A little later when they reached near Vallabh Villa bungalows, five people on two motorcycles accosted them and forced the duo to stop. They caught hold of the duo while one member asked them to hand over whatever valubales they had.
Kamar, who got a chance to break free, ran away. Mandal refused to give anything, and one of the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed Mandal in his thigh three times.
When Mandal fell down, they snatched his mobile phone worth Rs 10,000 and escaped the spot. tnn
