Search on to nab car driver who ran over street dog
Tilaknagar police have launched a manhunt for a car driver who allegedly ran over a street dog at Jayanagar 9th Block on Friday morning. Police said they have collected CCTV footage from commercial establishments in the area to identify the car. “The quality of the CCTV footage is poor and is being enhanced,” said police, adding that they have registered a criminal case against an unknown person based on a complaint filed by Channakesava CA, who runs amilk booth in the same area.

Two senior citizens held for murdering labourer
Two senior citizens have been arrested on charges of murdering a 45-year-old construction worker. Police arrested the duo within hours of them finding the body Ashwath, the victim, at 3pm on Saturday.Ramamurthynagar police arrested Srinivas Reddy, 68, and Subbaiah Naidu alias Sriram, 69, for allegedly tying up the victim and bludgeoning him to death.
CM: Will speak to edu min on Kuvempu row
CM Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said he will talk to education minister BC Nagesh over alleged defaming of the state anthem penned by poet laureate Kuvempu. 8 pilgrims from Bidar on way to Ayodhya killed in accident; 8 hurt
Eight members of a family from Bidar, including three women, were killed and as many injured after a Tempo Traveller in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district around 5.30am Sunday. The tourist vehicle carrying 16 people from Karnataka was headed towards Ayodhya from Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, when the accident occurred.
