Former Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Sameer Wankhede, who was in the limelight for initially probing the Aryan Khan drug case, has been transferred to the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services in Chennai. He was earlier posted in Mumbai. It may be recalled that midway through the Aryan Khan drug case probe, Sameer Wankhede was taken off the case due to numerous controversies. The NCB gave a clean chit to Aryan Khan a few days back, as the chargesheet it filed in the matter did not have Aryan Khan’s name.
