Two booked over gangrape of school girl in Barmer

JAISALMER: A case of gangrape with a school girl in Barmer came to light 13 days after the crime. On May 28, her father lodged a complaint at the Mahila police station about the incident which took place on May 16. The 18-year old girl had left her house for school to get her class XI results.
Police have booked two persons in the case and also got the medical examination of the victim done. As per the complaint, two persons on a bike forcefully took the survivor with them and gangraped her at a guest house and left her near her home. An investigation in the matter is underway.
According to SHO Ram Pratap Singh, as per the father’s report, on May 16, his daughter had left the house at 7am to go to school. On the way, Montu singh, a resident of Rajeev Nagar in Barmer and Gangai Nagar resident Swaroop came on bike and kidnapped his daughter. They took her to a guest house where they raped her by threatening her and left her back near her house.
The scared daughter did not tell anybody at home. But a few days ago the daughter had a stomach ache and then she told her mother about the incident, he added.
