Goa: Covid positivity rate rises to 3.6%, active cases at 115

PANAJI: Goa recorded 18 new Covid-19 infections and four recoveries on Sunday, pushing the tally of active cases further to 115.
With 488 tests done, the daily positivity rate has risen to 3.6% as against 1.9% on Saturday.
All 18 patients are under home isolation.
Since the last two weeks, the state has reported a marginal rise in the number of Covid positive infections and a consequent jump in positivity rate ranging between 2% and 3%, which had dropped below 1% after the third wave.
With the numer of positive cases rising, health services have planned to expedite vaccination of booster doses to senior citizens as over 90,000 of them are yet to take the booster shot.
