Robbery case accused attack police and public

Thiruvananthapuram: The robbery case accused who were being transported in a KSRTC bus on Friday turned violent near Kilimanoor leaving passengers and police officers injured. A police team was bringing them back to Kilimanoor police station after a court hearing in Kadakkal. When the KSRTC bus, in which they were travelling, reached Kilimanoor the accused turned violent and attacked passengers and policemen.
However the accused Mohammmed Shan from Kadakkal, Ananthan from Kazhakkoottam and Shifan from Nemom were detained by the police with the help of the public. In the meantime, more police from the station reached the spot and transported all the accused to the station.
In the police station too they unleashed violence damaging electronic equipment.
Police said the accused got violent for not providing cigarettes. Another case against them was also registered for assaulting police officers on duty and damaging public property.
