Gurugram sees 177 new Covid cases, positivity at 5%

GURUGRAM: The city on Thursday reported 177 new Covid-19 cases, a drop from 198 cases recorded on the previous day. The daily positivity rate also dipped to 5% on Friday from 5.1% on Thursday.
While Gurugram has added 7,103 new Covid cases to its case load so far this month, it currently has 680 active cases out of which five are in hospital and rest in home isolation. In April, the city saw 5,894 cases.
On Friday, 3,543 tests were carried out while on Thursday, 3,088 tests were carried out.
Meanwhile, Haryana reported 236 new Covid cases and 246 recoveries on Friday. Gurugram reported the highest cases in the state, followed by Faridabad (36), Hisar (7), Sirsa (4), Karnal (3) and Palwal, Jhajjar and Rohtak (2 each).
