Jealous of his success, two men abduct disc jockey in Delhi's Sultanpuri area

NEW DELHI: Two men have been arrested for allegedly abducting a disc jockey in outer Delhi's Sultanpuri area due to professional rivalry, police said. The accused have been identified as Kunal (20), a resident of Sultanpuri, and his friend Shivam (20), who is from the Balbir Vihar area.
On May 22, police received information about the incident and a case was registered, deputy commissioner of police (outer) Sameer Sharma said.
"It was revealed that the suspects had taken Gurpreet to a hotel in Mahipalpur.”
Mobile location of the suspects were confirmed and a raid was carried out but they managed to flee. "Later, the suspects were spotted in Sultanpuri and following multiple raids, the two s were arrested and Gurpreet was rescued. Since he had been thrashed by the suspects he was taken to a hospital for treatment," Sharma said.
As Gurpreet had gained popularity in the locality, their work got affected. So, the duo abducted him. They had also allegedly planned to eliminate him, police said.
