GUWAHATI: The National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, will soon launch menstrual cards for women in the state.
State NHM director MS Lakshmi Priya, while speaking on the sidelines of the Menstrual Hygiene Day here on Saturday, said the initiative will help women maintain a proper record of their cycle.
“Girls will be able to monitor the dates of their cycle every month. If they face any menstruation related issues, they will be more informed. When they attain motherhood, this card will help them in early registration,” said Lakshmi Priya.
