Ranchi: Polling parties were dispatched for the fourth and final phase of panchayat elections scheduled in the state on Friday.

Surendra Jha held a joint briefing of all the sector magistrates and police officers at the dispatch centre in Morabadi before their departure. Necessary guidelines were given for successful and peaceful polling.

The fourth phase of polling will be held from 7 am to 3 pm in five blocks of Ranchi district covering Burmu, Khalari, Mandar, Chanho and
Ratu.
In the last phase, 58,16,987 electors will cast their vote. The polling will be held at 15,875 booths in 1,299 village panchayats of 72 blocks in 23 districts of the state.
