KS Eshwarappa: Should there be a lesson on Jinnah?

KS Eshwarappa
BAGALKOT: Wading into the textbook row, senior BJP functionary and former minister KS Eshwarappa, on Thursday lambasted those finding fault with the revisions, asking if a lesson on Muhammad Ali Jinnah should have been included in the syllabus instead of a lesson on a speech made by RSS founder KB Hedgewar.
Eshwarappa said Hedgewar’s speech was aimed at “introducing the culture of the land and patriotism” to students.
“Do you think there should be a lesson included on Mughal king Aurangazeb who destroyed Shivling? Till date students read lessons of Alexander the Great and the glorification of those who destroyed our country and culture. ” He added: If Hedgewar’s ideologies had not been spread, our nation would have been divided by now. ”
