Tuition teacher rapes, impregnates student in Gujarat

VADODARA: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher in Zalod in Dahod district. The teacher had allegedly blackmailed the girl by threatening to circulate her objectionable video.
The girl, who stays in a village near Zalod, studied at a coaching class run by one Nainesh Damor in Zalod. She filed a complaint of rape against Damor on Wednesday evening at the Zalod police station. The girl got pregnant too.
The girl has alleged that Damor had recorded a video on February 14 when she had gone to the washroom in the building where the coaching classes are located. Damor allegedly threatened to circulate the video and blackmailed her into having a physical relationship with her. Damor allegedly raped the girl repeatedly after this.
The crime was allegedly committed in a room in the coaching classes itself. The room had a steel cot with a mattress, the offence regarding the rape states.
Zalod circle police inspector H C Rathwa, who is probing the case, said the girl was taken to a doctor who advised the family to approach the police. Rathwa said that the accused had been arrested and a remand will be sought for his interrogation.
