Special drive: Over 45k kids receive vax

Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 45,881 children in the age group of 12 to 17 received Covid vaccination on the first day of the three-day special drive that began on Thursday.
Health minister Vena George said that 11,554 children in the age group of 15 to 17 and 34,327 in the age group of 12 to 14 received the vaccine on Thursday. In the 15 to 17 group, 5,054 children received the first shot and 6,500 got the second shot.

As many as 27,486 children in the 12 to 14 age group got the first jab and 6,841 received the second jab. The minister has appealed to parents to ensure that all students above 12 years of age get their due vaccination before the school reopening on June 1. TNN
