
NEW DELHI: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Friday said its IT system faced a ransomware attack, and thus its board will not be able to meet this week to consider the March quarter earnings, which was scheduled earlier.
“We wish to inform you that we are expecting a delay in submission of audited standalone and consolidated financial results of the Company for the financial year ended March 31, 2022…due to ransomware attack on our IT systems which has affected the completion of the audit process within the stipulated time,” the firm said.
“The Company is taking the corrective measures with the assistance of cyber experts and authorities on the issue.”
The board of the company was supposed to meet on May 30, 2022. The company did not provide the new date of the board meeting but assured that it will be communicated shortly.
Ahead of the disclosure, the stock of the company declined 0.71 per cent to Rs 49.10.
