Rajasthan: Fuel stations to remain shut for 3 hours on May 31

The retailers will not sell the auto Fuel between 8pm-11pm.
JAIPUR: Fuel stations in Rajasthan will remain closed for three hours on May 31 as the dealers have decided to protest against the steep reduction in excise duty and the resultant revenue loss to them.
The Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association also said the retailers will not sell the auto Fuel between 8pm-11pm and also will not lift oil from the depots of the oil marketing companies as a mark of protest.
However, the association said that they welcome the excise duty cut as it will give relief to the people who are suffering from high prices of various products including petrol and diesel.
Suneet Bagai, president of the association said that they urge the oil marketing companies to increase the dealers’ margin which has not been raised since 2017.
He said that the centre and the state is raising the salary of the employees keeping in the rise in inflation and why the same yardstick is not followed by the oil marketing companies to increase their margins.
