R Bindu inaugurated the convocation ceremony of graduates and postgraduate students of the 2020 batch of the
College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) on Thursday. The convocation ceremony of the 2020 batch was earlier postponed due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
The minister said that the world is determined by technology which will be guided by the upcoming engineers.
“We live in the age of information technology and scientific advancements such as AI, which excels in dominance over the human brain. Machines have affirmed dominance over man and everyone in the world is behind the new gadgets and digital devices. Even the kitchen is filled with technology,” she said.
“ The educational society should develop the upcoming research to a great dimension. Even natural disasters which are caused by global warming, and the global pandemic made us understand the need to communicate faster,” said R Bindu.
The minister for higher education on the occasion also stressed the need to encourage start-ups to build a well-equipped Kerala.
