Infant falls from 2nd floor in 2nd incident at hotel

Rajkot: A two-year-old girl was battling for life after falling from the second floor of a hotel on Gondal Road in the city on Thursday.
The incident happened in The Pinevinta Hotel, where a one-and-a-half-year-old girl had died in a similar incident in December last year.
On Thursday, Nyasa Patni was playing near the window, which had no grille, and fell in the parking lot. She suffered severe head injuries and was admitted to a private hospital. Police said her condition is critical.
Nyasa had come with her parents from Dubai where her father Gopal works as a jeweller. They had come to attend a marriage function of a relative in the city.
On December 2, 2021, one-and-a-half-year-old Nitya Dipesh Gohel had died after falling from the window of their fourth floor room while playing. The family was from Pune and had come to attend a ring ceremony of a relative.
Even after this incident, the hotel owners have not installed grills on the windows. tnn
