Ludhiana: City businessmen are geared up to participate in the state-level job fair that is scheduled to be held on Friday at Chamber of Industrial and Commerical Undertakings (
CICU). D P S Kharbanda, director of department of technical education and industrial training will be the chief guest on the occassion along with Deepti Uppal director of employment generation, skill development and training. Deputy commissioner Ludhiana,
Surabhi Malik , other government officials and prominent industrialists will also remain present in this job fair.
Businessmen meanwhile are upbeat over this event as they are hopeful that they will be able to hire the required manpower. Giving more information Upkar
Singh Ahuja , president of CICU said, “We are very excited to host the mega job fair after a long gap due to Covid lockdowns. We also want to thank the Ludhiana and Punjab’s industry who agreed to participate in this job fair at such short notice. As of now more than 100 companies will come to hire the candidates, some of the main job profiles for which hiring will be done include welders, fitters, helpers, turners, machinists, CNC/VMC operators, electrician operators, MMV and diesel mechanics, computer operators, digital marketing executives, HR managers, assistant managers, diploma engineers and organisational executives.
Ahuja also added, “We are expecting a large turnout of candidates and the companies besides giving on the spot appointment letters and all the other participants also stand a chance to be called by some companies at a later stage. As for qualifications, it is meant for classes X &XII, BA and BCom pass outs. tnn
