Take note of old buildings: MLA

Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA L Nagendra, accompanied by Mysuru City Corporation officials, on Thursday visited the site of an old dilapidated building that collapsed following to rainfall at Shivarampet area in the city.
The legislator took the MCC officials to task for not issuing eviction notices to the owners of old buildings in his constituency, and said such buildings are posing threat to life and property.
He asked the civic officials to list old buildings that reached crumbling stages, including government ones, and issue eviction notice. On receipt of information of the legislator’s visit to the site, MCC commissioner Lakshmikanth Reddy to arrived there. TNN
