Maoists torch three vehicles

Bhubaneswar: Suspected Maoists allegedly set afire three vehicles engaged in road construction work at Tala Pipli village under the Bhawanipatna sadar police station in Kalahandi district on Wednesday night.
Police said a tractor, a JCB machine and a truck parked near the road construction site were set ablaze. Maoist posters put up near the site alleged poor quality work being executed by the private contractor. The police, however, suspect the rebels committed the act to make their presence felt. TNN
