Partha Saradhi Reddy, who is the Rajya Sabha candidate of the TRS, is all set to become India's richest MP.
While filing his nomination,
Partha Saradhi Reddy's assets have been pegged at around Rs 3,909 crore and along with his family it touches Rs 5,300 crore. Most of his assets are shares and investments in Hetero Group.
Till 2021, the richest MP was the late Mahendra Prasad from Bihar with more than Rs 4,070 crore assets including that of his wife and under Hindu Undivided Family (HUF). The RS MP from Janata Dal (United), who died in 2021, had made his fortune from pharmaceutical business like Partha Saradhi Reddy.
After Prasad's death, Ramky Group founder Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy of Andhra Pradesh from YSR Congress became the richest MP with Rs 2,577 crore assets. That tag is now going to pass to the Hetero Group founder.
Out of movable assets of Rs 3,858 crore, around Rs 3,407 crore are shares of Partha Saradhi Reddy. While out of Rs 1,249 crore, around Rs 1,140 crore is of his wife and Rs 105 crore in HUF.
The income of Partha Saradhi and his family in 2020-21 wa Rs 140 crore. The liabilities, mostly rental deposits, is about Rs 73 crore. He has Rs 13 crore worth of jewellery and his wife Rs 6 crore. Partha Saradhi, who did his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from Osmania University in 1997, had a net worth of Rs 16,000 crore as per the Hurun rich list in 2021.
Both Partha Saradhi and his wife don't own a vehicle.
There are four cases against him under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. In Himachal Pradesh, a case was filed by Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation for allegedly manufacturing and distributing a drug declared to be not of standard quality. Two other cases are filed with a
Muzaffarpur court in Bihar. The fourth case is in Salem in
Tamil Nadu.
