20-year-old stabbed to death in Chanda, 3 held

Chandrapur: Local crime branch (LCB) cracked the murder case of goon Dharmveer alias Dabliya Yadav within a few hours after recovery of his body and arrested two accused, while one suspect is on the run.
Dharmveer Yadav, 20, was murdered in Ashtabhuja ward on bypass road in the city late on Tuesday night. His body was recovered on Wednesday morning. Initially, Ramnagar police were investigating the case. SP Arvind Salve handed over the probe to the LCB.
LCB officers came to know that Dharmveer had dispute with one Chetan Sonavane. Further investigation revealed that Chetan along with two accomplices had quarrelled with Dharmveer over old rivalry and attacked him with sharp weapons at around 11pm on Tuesday. As Dharmveer collapsed in a pool of blood, the three assailants fled the scene. Dharmveer died on the spot.
Dharmveer had two offences of murder registered against him.
The LCB team has arrested main accused Chetan Sonavane from the forest near Morva airport near the city. One more accused was arrested by Ramnagar police. The third accused, however, is absconding, official sources informed.
Accused Chetan, who also sustained injury in the scuffle, was handed over to Ramnagar police.
