Ahmedabad sees 28 new Covid cases

AHMEDABAD: Amdavadis need to get vaccinated and be diligent about masking up and sanitizing as the city saw the second consecutive day of 20-plus daily Covid cases at 28 on Wednesday. This was 76% of the daily Gujarat tally of 37.
The state recorded discharge of 31 patients, taking the active cases to 192. The city now has 122 active cases with the discharge of 21 patients.

The other cases included 3 from Gandhinagar city, 2 from Surat city, 1 each from Vadodara and Rajkot cities, Mehsana and Vadodara districts. No patients were on ventilator, according to state health department officials. The number of districts with zero active cases shrunk from 33 to 22.
Gujarat in 24 hours administered the first dose of vaccine to 2,054 persons and the second dose to 42,652 persons.
