Trader shot at, robbed of Rs 50,000 in Bihar

PATNA: Armed miscreants shot at a maize trader and looted Rs 50,000 from him in Chiraya Diyara on the Khagaria-Saharsa border on Wednesday.
The injured was identified as 25-year-old Aurangzeb of Navtolia Marad under Morkahi police station area in Khagaria.
Hearing the gunshot, the local people rushed him to the hospital where he was undergoing treatment. According to police, the trader went to Diara area to get the grain, when three miscreants on a bike followed him and snatched the money bag. They shot at the trader before fleeing from the spot. Morkahi police station in-charge Kiran Kumari said the miscreants will be nabbed soon.
Man shot in Siwan: A man was shot dead in Barkagaon panchayat under Marwa police station area in Siwan district late Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Dilip Singh (53), the son of Dinanath Singh of Babnauli.
According to the police, Dilip had gone to Sundar Park in Uttar Pradesh on his motorbike. When he was returning home, bike-borne criminals wearing masks fired at him. He died on the spot.
