Arrested Maoist leader Kishan’s wife admitted to Rims with chest pain

Ranchi: Central committee member of CPI (Maoist) Sheela Marandi, wife of key Maoist ideologue Prashant Bose, alias Kishan, was admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) on Wednesday after she complained of chest pain at Birsa Munda Central Prison Hotwar where she has been imprisoned since November 12, 2021. According to Rims doctors, Marandi is a patient of hypertension and diabetic and she was shifted to the health facility after she complained of chest pain. She has been shifted to medicine ICU and is under Dr C B Sharma’s unit. Talking to TOI, Dr Sharma said: “The prison authorities brought her today after she complained of chest pain which happened due to an increase in her blood pressure level. She has a history of diabetes and we are administering her required medication.”
Dr Sharma added that they have ran a few pathological test and have found that her sodium and potassium levels have gone down and she will be under observation for a few days at the ICU.
Marandi and her husband was arrested from Kandra region of Seraikela Kharsawan during transit.
