The biennial election to seven seats of Karnataka Legislative Council scheduled for June three, is set to be "unopposed", as all the seven nominations filed are in order.

Karnataka BJP strongman B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday indicated the possibility of a bigger role for his son and the state vice president B Y Vijayendra in the party, a day after he was denied a ticket to contest the MLC polls.

Karnataka education minister BC Nagesh while commenting on the textbook row said on Wednesday that everything relating to syllabus was being changed. "Since early years, syllabus designed by Britishers was taught in schools. After assuming power, yes, we have included nationalism in the syllabus," he said. (IANS)
