178 new Covid cases, no death in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh

CHANDIGARH/SHIMLA: Haryana alone reported 161 or more than 90% of the region’s 178 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, while Punjab added 15 patients and Himachal Pradesh two. None of the three states recorded any death.
Punjab’s overall Covid tally of 7,60,203 includes 7,42,341 recoveries, 17,752 deaths, and 111 active cases, with a positivity rate of 0.22%. The day's 31,220 vaccinations included 2,698 first doses, 28,522 second shots, and 3,820 precautionary doses. The state health department conducted another 6,698 tests.
Haryana reported 219 recoveries and 18,753 vaccinations, which included 2,734 first doses, 8,733 second shots, and 7,286 boosters. The overall vaccination figure reached 4,32,86,801. The state’s overall Covid tally of 10,01,032 includes 9,89,315 recoveries, 10,621 deaths, and 1,073 active cases, of which only 22 are in hospital. Gurgaon reported highest new cases at 113, followed by Faridabad (27), Rewari (6), Panchkula and Rohtak (4 each), Ambala (2), and Jhajjar, Jind, Bhiwani, Yamuanangar, and Karnal (1 each).
Himachal Pradesh reported seven recoveries, besides a new patient each from Kangra and Una. Its overall Covid tally of 2,85,012 includes 2,80,818 recoveries, 4,117 deaths, and 58 active cases.
