On the direction of the UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited MD, the contractual staff of Martinpurwa substation Deepak Sharma was terminated from his job. Speaking to TOI, LESA CIS chief executive engineer Vipin Jain said, "The power supply of Vidhan Sabha was restored within a minute."
A senior official of UPPCL said, "Power supply of Vidhan Sabha was disrupted after a hoarding got stuck with low tension wire (440v) near Ambedkar University substation due to strong winds, which made the power supply of Martinpurwa substation trip." "At the time of disruption, Governor Anandiben Patel was addressing the joint session," he added. Power engineers' association of UP has condemned the suspension of three officers and termination of substation officer, Martinpurwa. "We will lodge protest against the action.
