Share price of . gained 0.43 per cent to Rs 3585.6 at 10:15AM (IST) in Tuesday's trade. The counter hit a high of Rs 3629.9 and low of Rs 3582.9 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 3570.2 in the previous session.

The counter had a total traded volume of 10:15AM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 1.17 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 155.89 and a price-to-book ratio of 18.94.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

Avenue Supermarts Ltd. belongs to the Supermarkets industry.

Promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2022, while FIIs and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 8.83 per cent and 6.77 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 8819.02 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2022, down 4.59 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 9243.72 crore and down 18.22 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 7459.8 crore.

Its profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 426.83 crore, up 3.13 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
