Two people died and two others sustained serious to minor injuries when three trucks collided on Majuba Pass in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday morning.

"There has been a serious crash on the N11 at Majuba Pass, involving three trucks and tragically, two people have sustained fatal injuries," KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Robert McKenzie said.

Two people were treated on the scene for serious and minor injuries, he said.

"The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by authorities. The road remains closed due to the obstruction," McKenzie added.
