Jobless youths clash with cops for trying to go towards Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot's home

Police resorted to lathi charge to control the unemployed youth who started moving towards CM’s house
JAIPUR: Thousands of unemployed youth clashed with the police on Monday as they tried to move towards CM Ashok Gehlot's house in Civil Lines. The incident took place at Shaheed Smarak when the youth started marching towards Civil Lines. Police had to resort to lathi charge.
President of Rajasthan Berozgaar Ekikrat Mahasangh, Upen Yadav, along with other supporters and unemployed youths was protesting about the pending vacancies yet to be filled.
"If the government does not accept the demands of the unemployed youth soon, then these unemployed youths will teach a lesson to the Congress government in 2023. We will again gather at Shaheed Smarak on Tuesday for our demands. We have also asked for a meeting with CM's principal secretary Kuldeep Ranka. Let's see how that turns out," said Yadav.
He said that he was called by the CMO four times to meet Gehlot. Yadav accepted the invitation but on reaching the office he realised that the CM was not in his office and he had to meet junior officials. He demanded to talk to the principal secretary and later came back to the protest site.
