Ludhiana: Two die of electrocution, two suffer injuries

LUDHIANA: Two persons died of electrocution whereas two others suffered injuries, one of them serious, while they were repairing shed at a farm in Rauni village on Tuesday afternoon.
Police officials identified the deceased as about 50-year-old Kuljit Singh and around 25-year-old Harveer Singh Kaka.
Local sources said that after a high speed in the area on Monday night, the sheets of the shed at the farm of Kuljit Singh at Rauni village were damaged. They added that besides Kuljit Singh, who was an activist of Bhai Ghania Welfare Society, along with his father Master Duleep Singh, Harveer Singh Kaka, Bhupinder Singh and two migrant workers were repairing the sheets of the shed at his farm when suddenly the sheets got electrocuted.
Local sources further said that Kuljit Singh and Harveer died on the spot whereas Master Duleep Singh, Bhupinder Singh and two migrant workers were injured. They added that Bhupinder Singh and labourer Sita Ram were undergoing treatment at a hospital whereas the other two were in stable condition.
