Programme on biodiversity preservation

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Biodiversity Board on Sunday organised a special function in the city to shed light on the importance of preserving biodiversity on the occasion of International Day for Biological Diversity.
Addressing the gathering, the board’s chairman and IFS officer, Ashish Rawat, spoke about the importance of every species in the conservation of biodiversity. He also released a book titled ‘Aaamjan Hetu Saral Roop Mein Jaiv vividhta Sambandhi Lokopayogi Jankari’ on the occasion. “The book has been written mainly for the biodiversity management community and all the details regarding rules and regulations of biodiversity conservation have been written in a lucid language,” Rawat said. tnn
